Cutie's Story...
Cutie is a petite buff colored sweetheart who came to 4Paws from a shelter in Maryland. She was surrendered by her owner who could no longer afford to care for her.

Cutie is very affectionate and loves to be held and snuggled, rewarding her Person with lots of purring. She is very energetic and loves to run around the house exploring and to play with toys. She is also good with other cats, but proper introduction processes still need to be followed to ensure feline harmony with any resident cats. Helpful guidelines for this can be found on our website.

Cutie's right eye is smaller than her left. She was seen by a specialist who said there was prior trauma to the lens. While that right eye is blind, she is not in pain and her vision is fine in the left eye.

She enjoys a small bowl of good kibble to snack on during the day, and twice daily servings of canned Fancy Feast. While she likes various flavors, the seafood ones seem to be her favorites.

Cutie was born in April 2012. She has been spayed, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, is current on her vaccinations, and has been micro chipped.

Cutie, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
