My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is a 7 month old, 10 pound Havanese. His former owners purchased him from a breeder as a purebred Havanese, though he looks a lot like a Maltese, too. Buddy is gentle and sweet and very affectionate. His former family wanted him to be a buddy to their other dog, but their other dog did not seem interested in having a canine buddy, so the family decided to let Buddy find a new home.

Buddy is reportedly not reliably house trained, but he is crate trained. Buddy was kept in a pen either indoors or outdoors for the past four months. He is learning about having more freedom and other dogs to play with. We think he will quickly blossom into a g very social and well-adjusted pet.

Buddy is listed as a special needs pet because he has a little "skip" in his step when he walks. It's in his right rear leg, but it checks out OK after two vets have examined and x-rayed his legs and hips. Since they can't find anything wrong, there's nothing they can do to fix it.

Buddy has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. His adoption fee is $250.00.
