Dodger's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Dodger was a very sad golden when we rescued him. Dirty, skinny and so wanting to be loved. He is a gem waiting to be polished. He is smart, loves other dogs, plays well and is tennis ball possessed. He loves being with his human foster parents and follows them all over. He has been gaining weight and still needs a couple pounds put on. Listens well and is learning quickly what it is to be a loved pet. A very Velcro golden that thrives on human and fur companionship. His ideal family would be to have both. Dodger needs some work as he likes to "escape" He will bolt or try going over a fence or up a tree especially if he sees a squirrel.  He loves being brushed and having a bath so he is probably your typical golden and loves the water. If you are interested in sweet Dodger please fill out an application on our website at www.fureverpawzrescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dodger, a Riverside Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Riverside, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Riverside.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Riverside already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Riverside breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Riverside paves the way for another one to be saved.
