My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

RYDER is a 1 year old neutered fox red male Lab who weighs 68 pounds. Ryder is an active, nice boy. He is good with other dogs. We don't know how Ryder is with cats.He comes from the country and has no exposure to big cities. Placement is limited to standalone, single family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. There's no history of Ryder living with any children, so he's approved for kids ages 10+.

Update: Ryder is a beautiful boy, super friendly and very curious. He walked pretty well with the Easy Walk harness. He seems to know some commands (sit, give me your paw). He has a lot of energy and will need daily exercise and obedience training. He will probably do best with another young pup to play with. He seems to be a quick learner and enjoys the interaction. He is a really nice dog. Needs to have a physical fenced-in yard.

This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. Lab Rescue LRCP rescues and places dogs in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and northeast North Carolina (30 miles east of I-95 and north of the Pamlico Sound) Adopters must travel to Maryland, Virginia or Washington DC with their family - human and canine - to meet the dog they want to adopt.

Lab Rescue LRCP has between 50 - 80 dogs available for adoption from foster homes across Maryland and Virginia and at monthly adoption events. The adoption event dates are listed at www.lab-rescue.org.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption
application. Within a few days of submitting an application you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.

An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a home visit is required.
