"Hello, friends! My name is SAMMY, and I'm a three-year-old Dachshund/ Chihuahua mix guy who's funny and friendly. I'm also as cute as a button! I came here with my buddy, Sonny, after we got lost and couldn't find our way home. We like to hang out together, and we currently share a kennel, but we've decided that we'll be just fine if we get adopted out separately. We're both loving and affectionate. We were pretty scared when we first got here, but we're feeling more confident and ready to start new lives with kind people. We'd do best in adult homes, or maybe even in homes with kids who are older and considerate. I know that wherever we end up, we'll be cherished members of our families. It's our destiny! Please come visit me so we can spend time getting better acquainted out in the nice play yard here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. You'll be very happy you did (and so will I). Love, Sammy"
