My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toto is fostered in Long Beach CA 90804, through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org. To find out more about Toto, contact his foster mamma through the question/inquiry link.
Toto, formally known as Todo, is an 11 year old, 5lb. Yorkie boy who came to United Yorkie Rescue in September 2016. He was rescued from a shelter where he and his fur sister Lulu, a poodle, were surrendered.
Toto and his fur sibling were dropped off in bad shape, neglected and lacking quality care and love, he spent his 11 years as an outside dog, not a part of the family and not receiving regular vet care. He was likely used as a breeding dog, based on his condition and information available on him. After years living together it's hard to imagine what these two little souls went through, not having each other any more. Lulu has since been pulled from the shelter by Toto's foster mamma, and is undergoing medical treatment as she's in tough shape. It would be so nice to think they could go to a new home together, forever together. A picture of her is attached.
His mouth is in terrible shape and he will be feeling better after a dental, which will leave him with few, if any teeth. Being an outside dog Toto never learned to play like a puppy, experience love and kindness, or learn things like potty training or walking on a leash, so he will need a very special home understanding of his situation. He will likely take a long time to potty train and he possibly may never be 100% trained, and he’ll need extra patience in learning what it’s like to be a loved, pampered pet. Despite his terrible life, he’s a spunky little boy who wants nothing more than to cuddle and be loved and snuggled. Who wouldn’t want that after 11 years living outside alone?!
Are you Toto’s answer to a doggy prayerm for a loving warm home where high quality food and pampering is just waiting to be showered on him?
Toto will be up to date with his neuter and other vetting needs, ready for adoption soon!
