Harri and Karri are the beloved pets of a sweet lady who is facing a terminal illness. These sweet and very well behaved Calico sisters are healthy, spayed and fully vaccinated. They are just 10 years old.

These beautiful bonded sisters were rescued as tiny kittens by their owner, who found them after they had been dumped by the side of the road. She bottle-fed them and has lovingly cared for them ever since. They grew up to be gorgeous, purrfectly matched Calicos with beautiful green eyes.

Their personalities are like chalk and cheese; Harri is gregarious and very outgoing – the perfect lap cat, while Karri is shy and demure – preferring to be affectionate on her own terms. They are so pretty, and make such an exquisite pair.

Their owner is facing such a difficult time in her life. She loves these cats so much, but with a terminal illness, is moving to Texas to be close to her children. She would love to take the cats with her, but will be living with her son. Their home is not cat-friendly; daughter in law has cat allergies, and they have 2 Huskies that would rather eat cats than live in harmony with them.

If you have room in your heart and home for these beautiful cat sisters, please get in touch ASAP. Let’s take this worry off their owners’ shoulders so that she can join her family and receive their love and support as she battles a terrible illness.

Harri is the alpha cat. She will often greet new people at the door. She growls at the vacuum sweeper. She loves to cuddle in your lap and take long naps

Karri is shy and will come up to be petted but has to sniff your hand before being petted even if she knows you. She prefers drive by petting a initiated by her unless it is at night when she will lay on you at night in bed for a few minutes

I have raised my cats since they were kittens. They were dumped along the side of the road with their Mom. I took two of the three kitties and bottle fed them. My two cats are sisters and have been together forever but they are not friends. I am terminally ill and am moving from Mississippi to Texas to be with my kids. My daughter-in-law is allergic to cats and they have two Huskies that tend to be prey driven. I love my kitties but have to find homes for them.

About New Orleans Find My Pet A Home

About Our Rescue Group...

In many locations throughout the USA and Canada, shelters and rescues are filled to capacity, leaving pet owners who can no longer care for their pet with nowhere to turn. Many pets are needlessly being euthanized.

Being placed in a shelter is a very stressful experience for all pets - and their owners. We offer a very good alternative, allowing pets to stay in the loving care of their owners while a new home is located for them.

We have helped many pet owners in need to place their pet in a home where they have great peace of mind in knowing that their pet is being cherished, well cared for and kept safe, happy and healthy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

In most instances, our pets stay with their owners until a new home can be located. There are some situations which require a more urgent placement, and in these instances, we look for loving foster homes to care for these pets until a permanent home can be located.

Our Adoption Process...

When a pet is placed with our organization, our staff create a very honest and compelling adoption story about the pet, using the information provided to us.

We then spread the word about this pet's need for a new home through a wide variety of online services, and through local outreach.

Interested parties are directed to fill out a formal request to meet a pet, providing in-depth information about themselves.

Before a potential adopter is introduced to a pet, we do careful reference screening and a criminal records check.

Should the pet's owner and the adoptive party agree to an adoption, a formal agreement is entered into, requiring the new owner to agree to keep in touch, ensure the pet's physical and emotional well-being, and provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

They are required to agree that they will not surrender the pet to a shelter or give away the pet - but rather they are to contact our organization so that we can find another suitable home, in the event that they are unable to fulfill their commitment.

The owners deliver the pet to the new owners, so that they can do a home inspection prior to leaving the pet in the new owner's care.

Our organization provides follow-up services, contacting the new owners after the first week, and then every 45 days for the first nine months post-adoption. This helps ensure the pet is being well cared for, and that the new owners have any support they need in adjusting to life with their new companion,
