McScruff is the most handsome, friendliest cat in the world! He is a 6-year-old Seal Point Siamese with bright blue eyes. He loves to be petted and is so very outgoing and social. He can't wait to meet new friends when he has visitors and loves to come out of his kennel and explore. He also doesn't seem to mind other cats and is curious about them.

McScruff has everything - looks, personality, youth. You might then ask why he hasn't been adopted. McScruff does need to get his teeth cleaned as they are very dirty, and you would need to take him to your vet for that. If you are willing to do this, though, McScruff is well worth it!

Be sure to watch McScruff's video.

You can meet McScruff at the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services at 5480 Gaines St. San Diego, CA 92110. Hours are 9:30-5:30 Tuesday - Saturday (closed Sunday, Monday). Adoption fee includes all shots, microchip, and a free vet exam. McScruff is already neutered and ready to go home!

We support a variety of efforts to protect and defend our furry friends. Our goal is to provide connections and solutions for pets and the people that work with them.

Our commitment is to find the need and fill it with our “grass roots” approach at getting pets, products and people supported.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an application contract (plus an adoption fee) and a process to find the very best match between a pet and their adopter. We want both you and our dog(s)/cat(s) to be happy with the match.

ARRF will always spay/neuter all pets prior to adoption as well as give them all shots and provide any medical treatment necessary to make sure they are healthy to the best of our ability and knowledge.
