Alfie and Archer were found in a canyon, but, thankfully, were rescued by caring humans and both are now in a foster home.
Alfie is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix who is about 7 years old and who weighs almost 14 lbs. At a recent adoption event, Alfie was afraid of a lot of activity, but he has had the traumatic event of being dumped in a canyon to contend with in his life. Once he felt more comfortable, he began visiting with people, and he loved being scratched and petted. He would do well in a home with another canine companion to help calm him and show him the ropes. He is good with kids, and a sweet, likable little guy. Check out his hair!
He likes to play with the other dogs and cats in his foster home, and he is housetrained.
ARRF thinks Alfie would love being adopted by someone who works from home since he enjoys people so much. If you think he is the one for you, email Jan, his foster mom:

Alfie is being fostered in the El Cajon area of San Diego County.
