Are you looking to add a lot of love to your home? Scout and Tuff are Black Lab siblings that came to Humane Tomorrow after their owner passed away. They have been together all their lives, so we would love for them to spend their remaining years together if possible. While they are about 9 years old, they still have plenty of spirit and energy, and we expect them to have many more years with a loving family – like yours! Tuff is very energetic, and still loves to run, chase squirrels, chase tennis balls, and steal tennis balls from Scout. He’s also a great brother to her, helping nudge her around obstacles and blocking her from falling into the pool. He takes great care of her and savors every moment of life when he’s playing. He’s also very smart and wants to please, learning many new good behaviors in his foster home. Both need a home that doesn’t have cats or small dogs. They also need a home that is committed to not leaving them outside unattended. Tuff wants to be a part of everything, and if he is outside without supervision he will dig under fences to go find activity. Scout’s lack of sight means being unsupervised could be dangerous for her. If you can handle those two things, these two dogs will bring a ton of love, fun, and smiles to your family!
Humane Tomorrow is a non-profit 501(c), all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding areas. We are also committed to spay/neuter assistance and education to companion animal guardians.
We do not have a shelter, so all animals in our program are placed in temporary foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
We have Adopt A Pets on the second and forth Saturday each month at
Petsmart in Flower Mound.
6060 Long Prairie Road (Hwy. 2499)
Flower Mound, Texas 75028
We also have AdoptAPurrs (cats only) at Petsmart each Sunday AFTER an Adopt A Pet.
Going North on Hwy.2499, the Petsmart will be on the right, just before Justin Road (FM407)
You can see all our animals there or, if you find an animal you just can't wait to see, call or E-mail for an appointment.
Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.
Our adoption fees are... Cats: $120 for kittens & cats $140 for declawed cats $100 for senior cats (10 yrs +)
Dogs: $200 for puppies and dogs $175 for senior dogs (senior depends on breed and size) Note that some dogs may have higher adoption fees if they are very adoptable or "designer" breeds
This adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.

Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
