My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bradley is a 6 year old Cocker Spaniel mix and is about 15 lbs. He is so lovable and loves to sit on his person’s lap and enjoys his snuggles. Bradley is fully potty trained; very clean and never had any accidents, and is doggy door trained. He will bark to alert if someone is at the door, Bradley loves his squeaky toys and is a growl player; he will play tug with his toys. He will take every toy out until he finds exactly the one he wants.. and loves the color pink for some reason! The pink toys are his very favorite ones! He is good with female dogs but not recommended for a home with another male dog. Bradley would prefer to be king of the castle. He is food aggressive and would need to be fed separately from other dogs and that probably has to do with going hungry in the past. We get the feeling he wasn’t well cared for before coming to AFC. He came to us with a chicken bone lodged in his throat that the owners were unable to take care of and had resolved to take him to the pound. Fortunately he was networked to come to AFC who took him to an ER vet and he has fully recovered. His hair grows quickly and he will need to be groomed every 6-8 weeks to prevent matting. When he came to AFC, he was unable to see very well due to cataracts. Our vet opthamalogist was able to surgically remove the cataracts and restore his sight! Doc is very pleased with the outcome and he just had his six month post surgery check up and has been released from care. Doc reports that his vision is quite good now. He has been vaccinated for Parvo, Rabies, dewormed, Frontlined for flea control, microchipped and neutered. Bradley is a sweetie pie and will make a wonderful companion.
