Rascal's Story...
Rascal is a 17 pound, 1 year old Jack Russell terrier/Rat Terrier mix. Rascal is a sweet boy who loves everyone he meets. He's a world class cuddler who is happy to sit on your lap all day. He adores attention and belly rubs. Rascal is playful at home and learning to interact at the dog run. He walks well on a leash, has learned to sit and is now working on stay and come. His foster mom says he's house trained and crate trained and has had no accidents! He's an amazing little dog who's ready for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rascal, a New York Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier for sale in New York, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
