Thunder's Story...

Like real Thunder, I am hard to miss! One of Forte's volunteers got me from a well-intentioned couple who saved me from the pound, but I turned out to be a lot more dog than they bargained for. I'm about 95lbs of total lovebug and I'm good with all people and children. I know the basic commands (especially when accompanied by a treat) and best of all, I'm housetrained! I love car rides and just hanging out, but I think I'd like to be the only dog in your home (of course I could change my mind, you never know!). Come visit me at Forte's adoption events, I'd really like to settle down with a forever family as soon as possible.

If you are interested in meeting Thunder, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and fax it back to us at (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.

[Thunder is 3-4 years old and weighs 95 lbs.]

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thunder, a Marina del Rey Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
