Rex's Info...

I am good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Rex's Story...
Look at this sweet baby faced Rex. The cutest Boxer, just 18 months old and full of love. Rex maybe a mix, we are not sure as he was found as a stray, but regardless, just a loving cuddly boy.

Rex has all the qualities of the boxer. Family oriented, short coat (minimal shedding), loyal, affectionate and quiet. As well, he doesn't drool, and he is good with both dogs and cats.

Rex is housebroken as well as crate trained. He was found very thin ,so we are working on putting weight on him. He came to us on September 10th, weighing 51lbs, but we believe his ideal weight would be 56lbs. He is currently fed three meals a day, with canned food mixed Into a high protein dry food.

Rex is very easygoing. He loves to curl up.on the couch and just chill. He is a low energy dog. He loves car rides and travels very well. At night he sleeps up.in the couch but according to his previous foster Mom, he loves to snuggle in bed with the family members.

One thing to note, he doesn't like bicycles. He doesn't mind motorcycles, just not bycles. He barks at them when he sees someone riding one.

Rex is always happy. You have to mind his constant wagging tail, it's like a whip, as it was never docked.

Ideal home for Rex? A fully fenced yard, kids, a family who lets him up on the couch, a family that loves and appreciates the breed. He will require two walks a day, using a body harness not a flat collar.

Rex is neutered, up to date with vaccines, Inclouding Bordetella, dewormed, Heartworm tested negative, and was given heartworm and flea prevention for September.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rex, a Duart Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Duart, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Duart.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Duart already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Duart breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Duart paves the way for another one to be saved.
