Facts about Bramble

  • Breed: Boxer
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Bramble is a very handsome boy between 1 and 2 years old. He is aptly named at the moment as he is a bit like a blackberry bush and well worth the effort to get to the sweet fruit. He is smart, sweet, cuddly, but not fond of other dogs or small creatures outside of his home. He is healthy, heartworm negative, every bit a Boxer puppy who needs to be neutered.

Bramble lives with 2 other dogs and cats and they all get along well, so after being neutered and consistently socialized he may well be OK with other dogs in a \while. He’s a smart boy who likes to please and he learns quickly. He has not been destructive and does OK in his crate after a little bribe to get him in. He is housetrained, and like most Boxer pups, leash training is in progress although he does well on his walks.

He’s a funny boy who gets into awkward positions and slides off the couch and he has perfected the “Boxer dead weight” routine. Where do they learn that? He is sweet, curious, energetic, and all puppy. We always caution adopters that Boxer puppies need structure, patience, training, patience, guidance, hugs, redirection, patience, snuggles, physical and mental stimulation, patience, praise and love. Helping your Boxer into adolescence is absolutely worth a shoe, a loaf of bread, a tv remote… You will gain a trusted companion for years to come.
