These adorable kittens (whom we've dubbed The "A" Team Kittens were surrendered to the HSOV on September 10, 2016. There are three baby boys (Addison, Anthony, and Avery) and one baby girl (Audrey). The kittens were born August 16, 2016 and were brought to the shelter without a mother :( They are eating kitten chow and mush, and they are happy, playful youngsters. The kittens will be available for adoption at 3-months of age when they can be spayed/neutered. They are available for foster/rescue at any time. Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email ( We can usually help with transportation and also provide combo testing without charge to rescues/fosters.

We are a non-profit shelter giving refuge to homeless and abandoned animals in Washington County Ohio. We strive to make their time here as comfortable as possible. We work very hard with our rescue groups to move our animals quickly and safely. We do this because we work for those who have no voice.

We are located at 90 Mt. Tom Rd. in Marietta ,Ohio 45750. We are open Monday through Friday from 11:00am to 5:00pm. and Saturdays from 11:00am to 4:00pm. . Sundays by appointment only.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. .

Adoption fee for dogs is $125.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, dog tag, and spay/neuter.

Adoption fee for cats is $20 dollars and includes vaccinations, wormer, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered.

Adoption fees for other species varies.
