Haley's Story...
Hi, I'm Haley and I'm a 6 year old Manchester Terrier/Hound mix. I'm currently in foster care and I love it! I didn't like life in the shelter and was anxious in my kennel, but now that I am in foster care, I'm very happy. I am told that I have great house manners. I never have any accidents and hardly ever bark. I get along with the other dog in the house, but I can be picky about my dog friends so a meet and greet is required. I'm not good with cats or young children. I'm also learning some tricks, so far I know sit and lay down. I love being active and going for walks. After a busy day, I love taking a nice long nap. I sleep in a crate at night, but I will gladly sleep with you in your bed. I'm also crated during the day and when the foster family is gone. I love to cuddle and give you love. If you would like to meet me please fill out an adoption application today. I can't wait to meet you!

****My adoption fee is $195.****

The Animal Rescue Project ( is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed.

All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws.

Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $25 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization.

The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Haley, a Kalamazoo Manchester Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Manchester Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Kalamazoo, or seeking a Manchester Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Kalamazoo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kalamazoo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kalamazoo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Manchester Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Manchester Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kalamazoo paves the way for another one to be saved.
