Facts about Asia

  • Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/English Pointer Mix
  • Color: White - With Black
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Asia is a beautiful, smart, quiet girl! She is about 2 1/2 to 3 years of age and weighs 37 pounds. She is definitely a Cattle Dog but may have an ounce or two of something else as she is sporting double dewclaws on her hind feet. Asia is fully vetted and has successfully completed treatment for heartworms. She is good with children, other dogs, and cats. Asia is house trained and crate trained but still has some fear issues that we are addressing, with good results. She will walk on a leash but is hesitant. However, she is great off leash, will stay close by you and has excellent recall. We do not know her history, except for her time with us, and can only guess at the cause of her fearful response. We think Asia might do better in a country home where she would need to be leashed only for vet visits or other outings. Our program fee is $150 and we have an application process to insure that Asia is a good fit for your family. Please let us know if you'd like more information or would like to meet this stunning girl!

About Lucky Break Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We work with people in the community to get dogs spay/neutered, vaccinated and adopted or transferred to a rescue in another area before they land in the local, high-kill Animal Control facility. As we are foster-based with limited resources and space, usually, the people who have the dog(s) or puppies foster them, for a short period of time, while we pursue outside rescue or re-homing. We will come and take photos, assess the dog's temperament and start a health record. So far, this system is working very well and saving dogs has been a community effort.

We are a small group of people with limited resources but a strong desire to see the homeless, abused and neglected dogs in our communities placed in good, loving, permanent homes. If you are in our area and share our passion, please join us!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our rescue is foster-based so we will need to put you in touch with the foster family of the dog you would like to meet. You can coordinate with the fosters to pick a time and place that will be suitable for you to 'meet and greet' the dogs or dogs that interest you. If you have other dogs, we encourage you to bring one or more to meet the potential new family member and make sure that this is a good fit. We want to make sure that the adoption is good for both your family and our rescue dog and will be a permanent home.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting one of our rescued pets, we require that you complete an Adoption Application. Our online application may be found on our website, . We require a vet reference and two personal references as well as information about other pets you may have and what your current living arrangements are, eg., apartment, rental home, owned home, fenced yard, etc. Our current adoption fee is usually $150.00, which only covers the vetting costs. This may be subject to change if our vetting costs rise. We prefer to meet with you in person at your home and bring the dog for a visit. If you are located too far away from us, we may ask someone from a group closer to you to meet with you. The process could take between one and three weeks to complete, depending on the responsiveness of your references, the needs of the dog and transportation requirements.
