Facts about Clara

  • Species: Goat
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Medium
  • Sex: Female
Clara's story is a heartbreaking one. The family who recently brought her to us had purchased her and her baby off of craigslist. The baby passed away due to live and anemia and since, Clara had been kept alone and on a tether. Due to family illness, Clara was surrendered to us and now gets to roam free in the company of other goats and is so happy! She has a deformed leg from a previous injury that was never treated but it doesn't slow her down one bit. She has no problem getting around and is so full of life. For more information on adding Clara to your farm family, please contact us and we will send you additional information and our adoption requirements

About Puget Sound Goat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a volunteer run, 501 (c)(3) registered charity dedicated to goats in need. Each year, we rescue goats from a variety of situations where goats are unwanted or no longer able to be properly cared for and care for each until we find them a new loving home. Since our inception in 2001, thanks to our donors and volunteers, we have been able to save over 100 goats per year. Founded and run by Barbara Jamison, and located in beautiful Washington State, we remain dedicated to any goats in need (and the occasional lamb, llama or other barnyard animal that needs our help)

Come Meet Our Pets...

Appointments to meet adoptable goats are made once a home has been approved for adoption

Our Adoption Process...

PSGR is dedicated to the health and happiness of the goats we have rescued and taken into our care. We carefully screen each applicant and potential home to insure it is a good fit for all involved.

Goats are herd animals regardless of how socialized they are to humans so PSGR will only adopt in pairs unless the new home already has goats or in certain situations, a horse companion.

An adoption agreement is required at the time of adoption and adoption fees vary. Our adoption agreement does include a no breeding clause. We are dedicated to reducing the number of goats in need each year therefor we only adopt our rescues as pets. All male goats are neutered before leaving PSGR. We also require that if for any reason you are unable to keep your goats, they are returned to PSGR. We will take back any goat, for any reason, that has been adopted from PSGR.
