My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*****Adoption Pending*****

OREO- Male, Border Collie mix, 3 yrs, 37 lbs.

Update from Oreo's foster mom: "What can I say about Oreo? Well, he's as sweet as the cookie he's named after and he's smart like one too! Oreo still has a little bit of puppy in him and needs someone patient who will take the time to help him brush up on his manners, but he's catching on very quickly that human toes are not for nibbling and that you get more belly rubs when you're polite than you do when you jump up. For that reason, a home without children would be best. Luckily, Oreo comes equipped with a few basic commands under his belt, like "sit", he's very food motivated (which makes him super trainable), and he already knows how to walk like a gentleman on a leash. He is housetrained and crate trained and an absolute joy to be around. He gets along wonderfully with his smaller, but very bossy, foster sister and hasn't shown any signs of resource guarding. Touch his food or take his toys away? Oreo doesn't mind - nothing can wipe the smile off this happy boy's face now that he's made it to Canada! Oreo would make any family very lucky, but he'd especially love a furever home with someone who shares his two main interests: long evenings spent cuddling on the couch and wet sloppy kisses (either giving or receiving... Oreo's pretty easygoing that way)!"

Meet Oreo!! He appears to be a border collie mix. Oreo was originally named Zero but we thought that was kind of sad, and he has the colours of an Oreo cookie, so we changed it! Oreo had a family but the child was a bit too rough with him and he ended up at the shelter after he nipped at the child. For that reason, we suggest no children for Oreo. He lived with another dog and many cats. Oreo would love nothing more than to find a new family to call his own!!
