Facts about Charlie Brown

  • Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Charlie Brown is all settled in to his foster home with Bonnie and her family.

This boy is just a huge love-bug!

He absolutely adores people, and is fine with other dogs his own size. He should not be in a home with small dogs, cats, or other small furry creatures.

He will do well in a home with children 13 years old or older.

When Charlie first came into our rescue, his life had been filled with sadness. He had been a resident of two pounds, having been adopted from the first one and, some time later, being found roaming in another area. The first time, he was found hiding out in a barn, with his body covered with cuts and scars.

We brought him into our rescue, and he was adopted from us. However, after some time in the home and several conversations with his adopter, we felt it was in Charlie's best interests to bring him back into the rescue.

Charlie is a testament to how resilient and forgiving dogs can be - in spite of his past, he is just the BEST dog! He loves everyone and is enjoying every moment of living in comfort and with the companionship of people who love him.

Charlie is happiest when he's with the people he loves, and who love him. He is an easy dog to love - and he will give it back 10 times over! A family where someone works from home, or with a stay at home parent, would be wonderful for our special guy Charlie!

We are determined to find the best new forever home EVER for Charlie! He is a gentle, loving, playful dog who deserves only good things going forward.

About Furry Friends Foster and Rescue Inc

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an animal rescue working to save animals from bad situations, care for any medical or behavioral needs, and place them in wonderful forever homes. Dogs in our rescue mainly come from municipal pounds within CT. We also take owner surrenders and occasionally will take dogs from outside of CT, if we have room in the rescue and the dog's or cat's situation is urgent.

We are approved as a 501c3 public charity by the Internal Revenue Service, are a tax exempt public charity with the State of CT, and hold an active CT animal import license.

Our Adoption Process...

Anyone wanting to adopt one of our animals must first fill out an application. We check personal, vet, and landlord references (if applicable). If the application is approved we will schedule a home visit by one of our volunteers. Once you are fully approved to adopt, we will schedule a meet and greet with the dog in our rescue, and all family members and other pets. If everyone agrees, you will be able to adopt.
