Trevor's Story...
Trevor is a cute playful little boy born around June 28th, 2016. He is one of five pups from Trixie who is a border collie/sheltie mix. Dad is of unknown breed. He is true puppy and will be ready after September 22nd when he is 12 weeks old, fixed, has his rabies shot and is ready to rock and roll to your house and into your life. Get your app in fast - these pups were raised inside and are doing exceptional with their house training and overall manners. Remember what breed they are - if you have small children these pups may nip heels to herd them. www.krrtx.org/forms

Please note that we are a TX based dog rescue, so all of our dogs are located in TX until we have an approved adoption application. We work with Rescue Roadtrips, Safe K9 Transports, and Pet LLC to transport our dogs to their new forever homes upon approval of adoption application. The reason we do this is because TX is a high-kill state and we are over populated with unwanted, but wonderful and loving dogs, and finding homes outside of TX helps us to save more lives. Our adoption fee for out of state is $355 ($170 adoption and $185 transportation).
Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trevor, a Olympia Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie for sale in Olympia, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Olympia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olympia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olympia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olympia paves the way for another one to be saved.
