Hi there! My name is Chico. I’m a Poodle/Shih Tzu mix, about 8 years old and I weigh about 23 pounds (I could stand to lose a pound or two, and my foster mom has been helping me with that). I’m neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro chipped, and recently had a dental done too.

I am a sweet little guy – I greet all of my foster family with great joy when they come home, and am so happy that I’ll walk around with a shoe in my mouth to show off. I love to cuddle and lay on you on the couch when we’re watching TV. I love to talk to my foster mom, especially in the morning or when I’m excited and she laughs at the funny noises I make. I know some of the basic commands (sit, lay down, give a paw), and enjoy belly rubs, going for walks and playing with my stuffed Pluto toy.

I am good with other small dogs (will bark at larger dogs when we see them on walks). I bark a bit when someone comes to the door, but should be fine in a shared housing situation. I have been around young children too. My ideal home would be one where someone is home most of the time to keep me company. If you’re looking for a gentle and loving companion, I think I might just be the one for you!
