Hello! My name is Banana. I'm a 4 months old little puppy girl, a Hound mix. I'm very busy and very sweet. - I love to play! I was rescued along with my brother and sisters. I'm looking for my furever family. If you're looking for the perfect best friend, I could be the one!
My adoption fee is $150.00 which includes all vetted costs, shots up to date, and spayed.

Dixie County Humane society is a volunteer group whose mission is to rehab and re-home neglected, abused and unwanted animals. We also provide a safe alternative to shelters for owners that are faced with the decision to find a new home for their animal.
Dixie County Humane Society is a no-kill shelter that was founded in 2006 by Pamela Swanson. Since its very inception, we have been fully committed to our core belief - every life counts.
We take those who others will not. We are committed to saving the sick, the injured, the abused, and the neglected ... those who would surely be put to death if we were not there for them.
We survive solely on adoption fees and the generosity of those who donate to our organization. All tax deductible donations are used entirely for the benefit of our animals. We do not receive funding from any government, any national or local organizations, any other charitable groups, or United Way.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Dixie County Humane Society offers adoptions every Saturday between 11 AM - 3:30 PM at the Gainesville, FL PetSmart, or in Old Town by Appointment.

Our Adoption Process...
Dixie County Humane Society (a 501C Non-Profit Corporation) offers pet adoptions every Saturday at the Gainesville PetSmart or at the Old Town facility, by appointment.
To make arrangements to visit your furry favorites in person - please call Pamela at 352-542-1081 to make arrangements. Prospective pet parents will need to complete an application.
All of our animals are spade or neutered, receive booster shots for rabies and parvovirus (dogs), are fully wormed, and are put on heartworm and flea medication before being adopted.
Adoption fees vary depending on the animal. Rest assured that your money will help other animals find their furever families.
