Hi there! I'm KitKat, a very sweet, quiet and gentle old man. I am good with other kitties, so I have no problem living with yours, and I seem to not care about dogs. I can be a bit shy at first, but I warm up as soon as I know that you're my friend. I do have some significant arthritis, so I would do well with older kids and adults since I move pretty slowly. I am otherwise a healthy guy! I am good with my litter box, too. I'd love to have a family of my own again. Will you be mine?

About Young At Heart Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Young At Heart Pet Rescue is a non-profit rescue organization specializing in the rescue and rehoming of mature dogs and cats. Our goal is to decrease the euthanasia rate for older, adoptable animals and to educate the public on the benefits of adopting a mature animal.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our dogs are located in foster homes and our cats are located at Lake Zurich's Petco or at Best Friends Pet Care in Prairie View. We are a small group where we believe in quality over quantity, so that each pet we rescue has a wonderful life while it's with us, and an even better life when it is adopted.

Our Adoption Process...

All adopters must be at least 21 years of age.

All adopters must fill out an application before an appointment to meet a dog will be scheduled or a go home meeting with a cat can be scheduled.

Cats can be viewed at Best Friends Pet Care or Lake Zurich Petco during business hours 7 days a week(see for more info).

All dogs are located in private foster homes and are seen by appointment only.

All of our pets are fully vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm or Feline Leukemia tested and placed on preventative, microchipped, temperament tested, and dogs come with a collar and leash. All pets have also had a geriatric blood panel performed to check all major systems for ailments of any sort, and most pets have had a dental cleaning as well.
