Chaco's Story...
Meet Chaco, a 6 or 7 year old, 12 pound male Rat Terrier mix. Chaco was surrendered by a family (we think) who could not keep them due to a landlord issue. Chaco is the SUPER sweetest guy you might ever meet - he is very shy at first, but once he knows what is going on, he is very funny and playful. He is completely house trained and will be neutered shortly. He would make a great addition for a family. Non reactive to cats and submissive to other dogs.

Come meet Chaco - he is looking for his forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chaco, a San Francisco Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in San Francisco, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
