MIA (R)'s Story...
Say hello to the precious and sweet Mia! She is a 2 year old girl who weighs about 38 pounds. She came to the shelter as a little lost dog with ID on 09/07. The person who turned her in said she was good with kids and house trained. Mia does know sit and lay down. She was initially very scared upon arriving at the shelter but volunteers showed her what love was all about and she has adjusted very nicely. She is a very happy and playful girl and loves all other dogs and people. She has been spayed and will be micro-chipped when adopted. She is waiting for her brand new family in cage 859 and her ID# is 588744. She has tested negative for heart worms.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MIA (R), a Marietta Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
