Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lulu is a one year old Pit Bull who was rescued along with her friend Luna when they were abandoned in a back yard for 3 weeks. The previous owner was kicked out of the house, and he left the gate open for the dogs to fend for themselves. The dogs never left the yard. For 3 weeks, the neighbors fed the dogs until animal control picked them up and took them to a high kill shelter. The neighbor said the man who previously owned them, kicked Lulu in the leg, caused a femoral fracture. They were both put on the kill list at the shelter, and Lulu had no chance of getting out with an automatic cost of fixing her leg. We had a private donor pay the $3200 to fix her leg. Lulu is now looking for a home to call her own. She is currently still on strict cage rest, and will need a home to continue the strict cage rest until she is ready to romp around again.
You can apply for Lulu, as well as read about the process at www.furkidrecue.org
Lulu's adoption fee is $50.
