Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ROCKY is a 1 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 41 pounds. He is a fun and sweet, sweet puppy. He walks well on the leash with an Easy Walk harness. He knows "sit" and "paw," especially when treats are involved. He rides well in the car. He has been friendly with every human and dog he has met. He will need to have more surgery in his right eye to correct remnants of a cherry eye. This is scheduled for the first week in October. Rocky, he is a friendly, handsome, and happy pup who loves to be with you to get attention. Likes to be outside and is learning to play with toys. He needs an active family with a yard to play in. Rocky comes from the country and has no exposure to big cities. Placement is limited to single family stand-alone homes in a suburban neighborhood, or rural area.
Good with other dogs has been out with other Lab Rescue pups at the kennel. No cat history, met the kennel cat and did not show any interest. Knows sit, come. Walks well with an Easy Walk Harness.
Rocky is approved for kids ages 10+.
Update:: Rocky knows the following commands: "Come," "sit," "paw," and "no" when he ventures toward the cat dish. He sleeps fine all night, walks well on an Easy Walk harness, can be part of a pack, or a solo bud, and is very respectful of the presiding feline who is not fearful of him. He loves chew toys and tennis balls, and enjoys watching the robotic vacuum cleaner zoom around him. Rocky is cooperative with daily eye drops and is scheduled to have surgery for a cherry eye later this week. He will need to wear an Elizabethan collar 24/7 for two weeks. Rocky does well in the crate, but doesn't get into trouble when left alone. He has been an easy house guest who provides lots of laughs.

Update: Rollicking Rocky has discovered the toy basket, and one is apparently not enough! This one year young, exuberant boy is excited and happy to meet everyone. He is learning how to gauge his playful enthusiasm with his older foster siblings, and has shown respectful awe of the cat. Rocky #5 is looking for a home in the suburbs or the country with a yard where he can romp and chase 2 tennis balls at a time. He is extremely attentive and eager to show you his romantic side, full of regular smooching and a "can you feel me" snuggle. He knows sit and paw, and is ready to learn so much more. As he is still a young boy, he will need more training to achieve his maximum potential. Rocky does fine during the night in a crate and walks well with an easy walk harness. A second eye surgery is scheduled in October for the remnants of cherry eye, which does not affect his vision.
