Facts about Lacey

  • Breed: Border Collie/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Lacey is one of 3 dogs we have flying to the states from Thailand on 9/30. We are working with the Elephant Nature Park to help open some space in the sanctuary. We have committed to taking dogs that are getting bullied there as they do not have separated living spaces. Lacey is one of those girls. She was originally rescued from a planned mass poisoning at Mar Rim Army Base in December of 2012. She has been waiting for her forever family ever since. Lacey is sweet as can be and the other dogs take advantage of that. She LOVES to be around people and craves attention. Lacey's picture is deceiving as she weighs just about 25lbs. We are totally guessing at her breeds so if you have any ideas please share!

We are really hoping to have Lacey go directly into an adoptive home. If you're interested in adopting this sweet girl please email us at Thanks!

About Sunshine Canyon Dog Rescue

Our Adoption Process...

- Complete our adoption application.
- Email your finished application to Please put the dogs name in the subject line.
- Be patient & understanding. It may take a couple days for us to go through your application & get back to you. We are dedicated to finding the right home for each dog. The dog you are interested in might not be a good fit for you but that doesn't mean its the end of the road. We will work to find you a compatible dog!
- Upon approval we will discuss details of pick up & follow up care.
- Because the majority of our dogs come from out of state; most of our adoptions are done before you meet the dog. We make up for this by doing a mandatory 1 week foster period. We treat it like an adoption (w/ contract & payment) but you have a week to make sure its a good fit. If you decide within in the foster period that you are not compatible, we will reimburse your adoption fee. All we ask is that you continue to foster until we can find a forever home. Our adopters often say that our foster period is much better than a pressured 15 minute meet n greet in a shelter. We cover most medical costs within this week period.
- After the week period we are still a resource for you! We are always happy to help from training to kinds of dog food, we are here for you.
