Chelsea was pulled from a local kill shelter, and believe it or not she was almost euthanized but we were able to bust her out just in time!
Chelsea is a pretty mellow girl that will follow her foster family around or just makes herself comfy on the furniture. She has definitely been an inside dog at some point. She does well on a leash and is knows sit. She is not a fan of small dogs but is doing well with the two larger dogs in her foster home. She is curious about cats but doesn’t chase and really hasn’t reacted at all. She has been around 9 year old children and does fine. She is a little shy in new situations but she is just an overall sweet girl that wants to be by her owner’s side.
We believe she is about a year and a half old and appears to be a purebred Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Her color is called “dead grass” and she weighs about 61 lbs but may gain a couple of pounds since she is a tad skinny.
**Chelsea is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and doing very well in her foster home. She is ready to find her family to complete her transformation. If our sweet girl sounds like a perfect match for your family, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to complete an adoption application please go to www.pawhuggers.org, hover over the Adoptables tab and then click on Adoption Application. Her adoption fee is $500 to help cover the cost of her airline flight and her travel crate.
