Oscar (Neutered)'s Story...
"Oscar" is a handsome male kitten who was surrendered by his owner on June 30, 2016 along with his six siblings (Octavia, Olaf, Ollie, Olympia, Opie, and Oprah). They were 2-months old when they entered our shelter. This darling little man has a shiny black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a darling face with golden eyes and a black button nose . "Oscar" has a lovable, playful personality. He was very curious about the large basket we used as a photo prop and would probably have curled up for a nice catnap given the opportunity :). "Oscar" is enjoying the freedom of being with all of his siblings in their own 'apartment' adjacent to our lobby :) . "Oscar" was neutered on September 21, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine. His sister (Oprah) was also spayed on that date. These siblings would be great to adopt together <3 One of his siblings (Olaf) has been combo tested and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm .. Which is also great news for the rest of these boys and girls!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
