LUCIE's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

LUCIE's Story...
LUCIE was surrendered to PAW FUND by a young homeless man who knew he couldn't keep her and the other dog he had.

This is one loyal, energetic, active, slightly intense little gal! She's lot of fun, and will thrive in an active home where exercise, running, hiking and being outdoors are part of daily life. She takes a bit of time to trust, but when she gets over her initial worry, she is a devoted companion. She might have a bit of separation anxiety at first, and will be best in a home with another dog to reassure her that when the human leaves, they will come back!

She's terrific, if a little demanding at times!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LUCIE, a Emeryville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Emeryville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Emeryville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Emeryville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Emeryville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Emeryville paves the way for another one to be saved.
