Rio's Story...
Meet Rio:
Rio is a 2 year old female pitbull who was rescued from a foreclosed home along with her 7 puppies and brought to one of the busiest and most overcrowded shelters in Southern California. The dogs were in rough shape when we rescued them and it appears they had been eating dirt and gravel to survive. Sadly one of the puppies did not make it.
Love Leo rescued her and her pups and were later informed that a male dog was also brought in with them at the same time - leading us to believe he is the father of the puppies. Love Leo never wants to leave a family member behind so we went back the next day and rescued Kevin from the shelter as well. We came just in time because he had contracted a cold at the shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized.
Rio is a wonderful dog and has taken such good care of her pups - despite her difficult situation. Shes wonderful with people and currently lives with another female pitbull - and they are best friends. She has medium energy and is house trained. Shes waiting patiently for a forever home to call her own.
We require:
- application
- homecheck
- adoption fee/donation
- contract
Thank you for choosing to adopt and saving a life.
