Connor's Story...
About Connor
My name is Connor and I am a stunning short-haired tabby who was born May 20th of this year. My sister Sally and I were taken in by AARF after our momma was hit by a car when we were just 5 weeks old. Despite our rough start, we have blossomed into the most affectionate and happy kittens! I am a little more laid back than my sister. I love to be carried around and hang out with my foster mom while she works and watches tv. You could say I'm a lounge kitty. But don't get me wrong, when the mood strikes, I can play with the best of them! I love playing with my sister's tail and anything on a string. But once I've had enough, I get a snack and some water and head to my bed to relax while my sister keeps going. I love to hide in the cardboard box my mom made me and like my sister, I purr almost constantly. I'm just always happy! Together, my sister and I would love to make your house our forever home.
Connor has some residual scarring on his right cornea from an eye infection when he was tiny but it will not affect his health or happiness as he matures. If you would like to meet them contact their foster Corrine at chaywood@elon.edu.

You can meet and visit with many of our cats at the AARF House (311 Harvey St, Winston Salem) during our adoption fair hours. Go to www.aarfanimals.org for information about our adoption fair hours and adoption process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Connor, a Winston-Salem Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
