My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet one year and super adorable Sailor. He is maybe a mix of Labrador retriever and Bulldog? A totally awesome boy, Sailor weighs 65lbs now but is a bit underweight so could likely “top out” at 75lbs. Sailor was rescued out of high-kill North Georgia’s Gordon County Shelter by a Labrador Retriever rescue group. Although once he was pulled they said he wasn’t “Labby” enough?! Now in foster care, Sailor has all the best Lab qualities: lovable, affectionate, loyal, playful, fun-loving and energetic and he LOVES people! His foster mom says he is one of the greatest big “puppies” she has ever had in foster care. Sailor is still very playful like a puppy, he loves to play with others- dogs big and small. Sailor is good on a leash, and good in the car. He is up for any adventure and will be an awesome companion! His size can be a bit overwhelming to little dogs only because of his energy! We have seen no signs of aggression from him in foster care at all. Sailor loves to play fetch and would be an awesome exercise and outdoor partner. He can’t wait to meet the mountains and the beach and accompany you anywhere. Sailor is very “respectful” and does not jump on you or other dogs in play. He can be a bit of a “slobber head” and loves putting his face in water- we think he’ll be a great swimmer but he’s not had a chance to swim here. Still need to cat test him, but he seems good with the foster’s outdoor kitties. Older kids would be best for him as Sailor is a big boy who could knock down a little one! Enthusiastic Sailor is looking forward to an active family His adoption fee is $500 and we are hoping to fly this cutest and coolest Lovable Lab next Wednesday, Sept 28th on a direct Alaska Airlines flight. He’d be wanting you to meet him at the airport and take him home from there. Sailor is neutered, micro-chipped and fully vaccinated. For any questions, please email Pam at raincityrescue@gmail.com or to apply right away, please complete an online application at www.raincityrescue.com and choose the adopt tab. You really have to meet this outgoing and confident family-friendly 1 year old Labrador!
