Josie's Story...
THIS IS A GREAT BIG WORLD! At 52 pounds you would think nothing would bother me, but it does. I haven't spent much time outside so every little sight or sound is an unknown. I am hoping for a new owner that will be able to instill the confidence that I lack. If you are confident, calm and patient you will soon bring me out of my shell. I am very friendly and my obedience skills are good because I really want to please. Will you be that special person that unlocks all those doors for me? Oh I hope so!!!
I have been micro-chipped like all of my 4 legged friends at HPC.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josie, a Hastings German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Hastings, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Hastings.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hastings already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hastings breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hastings paves the way for another one to be saved.
