We have a great story of resilience to tell you about our recently rescued Beagle Mix. Our 5-year-old gal is super sweet and is going to need an extra special adopter to give her the happily ever after she deserves! She is not very big at only 22 pounds. Lacy was surrendered to us when her former guardian could not provide for her medical needs. Beautiful Lacy was having some bladder issues that were beyond her control. She had problems urinating and just couldn't find a comfortable position to release her urine. We immediately had our vet team examine and X-ray Lacy. After a fairly major surgery, a solid stone the size of a ping pong ball was removed from our Beagle's bladder. No wonder the poor thing was having issues and obviously uncomfortable! Lacy has now recovered from surgery and now shows us happiness and a new zest for life. Best of all, her urinary tract is free flowing and Lacy can now continue with a normal life. Lacy is a great little girl who is in a foster home with another dog. Lacy does not know a stranger and loves to great everyone she meets. She now requires a special urinary dog food that will completely digest all bi-products and keep her bladder healthy. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Lacy will have to keep her on a special dry food, but trust us, this gal is worth it! She is super sweet, enjoys being loved and will be your loyal companion for the rest of her life. Lacy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. She is waiting for the perfect adoption application to be submitted at ITVRescue.org.
It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) dog rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless dogs irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, animal control, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, black dogs and other hard-to-place dogs.
