My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DUKE is an 8 year old neutered chocolate male Lab who weighs 91 pounds. Duke #2 is a handsome and friendly guy looking for a place to live out his golden years! He is a lovable and affectionate guy. Duke likes to retrieve and to swim! He is house trained and walks ok on leash. He will benefit from regular exercise and outings, his previous owner didn't take him out very much. He prefers not to be crated but does well with free roam of the house. He is good with other dogs. Duke previously lived with kids so he is approved for kids 8 and up. His evaluator said: Duke was super friendly and affectionate! He likes a good butt scratch and is fine with everyone! He likes his treat and was previously given free reign of food, he needs the green bean diet. He will make a wonderful addition to any home! Owner surrender because owner moved to assisted living. Duke is not approved for apartments or townhouses. He is approved for kids 8+. More info soon!

Update: Duke has been a great house guest these past few days. He loves being with his foster mom. He's easy going and has a good amount of energy for an 8 year old. Like any self respecting lab, he's curious about any delicious morsels in hiding in the trash can, so that should be kept secure. He sleeps quietly through the night and he gets along great with his foster sisters. Don't miss out on this beautiful chocolate boy!

Update: Duke has a great lab lean and loves belly rubs. He is very smart and is a quick learner - he knows sit, wait, lie down and come. He rides well in the car. He sleeps quietly at night and likes to sleep in. He's good left in the house uncrated and is a great companion. He loves walks and pulls a bit on leash.
