  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Currently fostered in Grafton WI but willing to travel for the right home. Meet Oreo he is a 6 month old hound/Mt cur mix 25-30lbs. Oreo is a on the reserved side and it takes him sometime to warm up to new people. He really, really wants to trust though and is thriving in his foster home but will need time in a new home to adjust after adopted. Oreo is crate trained, he really loves his crate it is his safe spot and he retreats to it when he is unsure of something, so he will need a crate in his new home. Oreo is working on house training and doing OK. Oreo has little leash experience he is still so overwhelmed by everything he sees it is hard to get him to even walk down the sidewalk. Oreo needs time to get used to new things before he will be able to experience everything life has to offer him. Oreo needs someone to take the time to bring him out of his shell. He is a sweet and loving dog once he trusts he never shows any aggression and he gets along great with other dogs. He is a hoarder also he takes anything he can get his paws on and hides it in his crate, so if something is missing you know where to look. He is very food motivated also which will help immensely for training him and helping him learn to trust. Oreo is a good puppy but understandably coming from being dumped in a shelter we don’t know how he got the way he is. Was he abused or was he just simply never socialized, we wish we knew . Oreo was dumped at the pound with his sister and she is the complete opposite of him she is loving and trusting and not afraid of anything and already adopted. Now it is Oreos turn to find his forever home and flourish into the dog he was meant to be, with stability he should bloom and make someone a wonderful pet. His adoption fee is 300.00 He is current on shots, and will be fixed and microchipped on 10/25 by a WTR vet, he was HW tested and is on flea and tick and heartworm preventive. About Wagging Tail Rescue

Our Adoption Process...

The first step in the adoption process will be to fill out an application. You can do this by emailing us at wtrin2015@gmail.com. After you have filled the application out, please email it to wtrinc2015@gmail.com and you will be contacted shortly after. If everything checks out, a home visit will be done as well as a meet and greet. If the chemistry is right, you will be able to take your furreverfriend home!

Fees: We take cash and checks. Adoption fee will depend on how much the dogs vet fees and transportation costs.

Returns:
As with all of our adoptions, we know it is hard to get married on a blind date... even to a wonderful pup. We will take the dog back and give a full refund in the first week. After 7 days, we will take the dog back and you can consider your adoption fee a tax deductible donation to a very appreciative organization. To hold a dog longer than the earliest possible delivery date, we ask for a $50 non-refundable deposit.
