Dini's Story...

What an incredibly sweet dog!

Dini came to us with 7 young pups and a terrible eye condition. After assessing her eyes, it was determined that the best course of action, to help her live a pain free life, was to remove both eyes. She may now be officially blind, but you'd NEVER know it! She follows the sound of your voice, is very appreciative of a nice bath and comfy couch, and would benefit from a home with routine and another dog to show her the way. She does love the company of other dogs and is often the one to initiate play.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dini, a Brookeville Australian Cattle Dog/Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Basenji for sale in Brookeville, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Basenji dog from a breeder in Brookeville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brookeville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brookeville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Basenji breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brookeville paves the way for another one to be saved.
