My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dodger, a 9 or 10 week old pup who weighs just under 15 pounds. He looks like a small black lab mix, and has that sweet lab personality!

Dodger and his 5 siblings came to Chicago hoping to witness baseball history--and find their forever homes. (Their mom left and never came back, so the pups were taken to a rescue person.) Although they look like lab pups, we don't know for sure their breed or their exact age, so only apply if you are willing to take pot-luck in terms of what breed and size he ultimately grows into!

His foster mom tells us: "Dodger is a real sweetheart, who just loves people. While his sister Angel is running around the yard playing with my golden retriever, Dodger is snuggling in my lap. He is fine with other dogs, and plays with his sister, but given the choice he prefers people. Dodger is used to sleeping in a crate at night, and can make it most nights without accident. He knows to do his business outside and is well on the way to being house trained. Although he is teething he's not very mouthy, so I think he would be great with kids of all ages. He is an active puppy with a nice energy level, but he's always ready for a snuggle. He's ready for a family, that's for sure!"

Because he is so young, Dodger will need a family with someone home most of the day to keep him on a potty schedule and give him the love and affection he thrives on. Puppy obedience school is also a requirement for adoption.

Dodger's adoption fee of $375 includes: vet exam, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, heart worm preventative, flea/tick preventative, routine deworming, microchip and neuter.
