My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"My name is SCRAPPY, and I'm a child of divorce. I'm sad about the whole mess, but I'm doing my best. I'm a three-year-old English Bulldog/ Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, and everyone stops to look in my kennel because I'm so darn cute. My sweet face, stocky legs, and beautiful markings draw a lot of attention, but it's my personality that truly shines. While I'm not especially active, I do enjoy a daily walk and some playtime in the yard. I have a gentle temperament, but you'll find that my compact, muscular body allows me to fly through the air when I get the chance to play. It's for that reason that I'd need to be in either an adult home, or in a family where the kids are older and bigger. I like other dogs, and I should only be with dogs that are on the larger side. I crave human affection, so I should be an inside pet. Better yet, I hope you'll consider me a family member. I've already been house trained, and I'm ready to hang out with you. Please come visit me at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. We can go out to the nice play yard together, then maybe you'll be able to take me home and keep me forever. Love, Scrappy"
