Howie's Story...
Howie is part of a feral litter that was trapped. They are Husky/Border Collie mixes and will likely weigh 60 pounds, plus or minus, when fully grown. We are estimating him to be about 10 weeks old and has had two rounds of puppy shots. He is still a little shy but can be coaxed out and loves to be scratched under his chin. He plays well with his siblings and will give up a toy rather than fight over it. Because we will not adopt an animal that is not spay/neutered and we feel it is best to wait until the puppies are about 6 months of age, we have a Foster to Adopt Contract for our puppies. Our program fee for puppies is $75 with a $50, refundable, spay/neuter deposit. When they are old enough and you have provided us with proof of spay/neuter and rabies vaccination, we will execute the adoption portion of the contract and refund your deposit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about this process. So far, it is working very well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Howie, a Normandy Husky/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Border Collie for sale in Normandy, or seeking a Husky/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Normandy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Normandy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Normandy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Border Collie breeders who help with Husky/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Normandy paves the way for another one to be saved.
