Basil's Story...
This absolutely gorgeous little guy is Basil! He is a very sleek silver tabby with the hugest amber eyes Ive ever seen! He came to rescue with his momma Rosemary and sister Thyme and he was very afraid of people to start off with! He has come such a long way and just purrs like crazy when you hold him and give him cuddles!

Basil's perfect home will be with someone willing to give him time to adjust to new surroundings but also be persistent in loving and handling him to keep him the happy little purrer he is now!

He is very playful, love other cats and had the appetite of a growing boy!!! He is adventurous and cautious at the same time, so as you can imagine, watching him explore and discover new things is very entertaining!

Basil would love to meet you and become a permanent part of your life!!! He is neutered, micro chipped and fully up to date on all his shots!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Basil, a Homewood Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
