Hopper's Story...
Meet Hopper! He is a 12 week old bundle of energy! Hopper loves his toys and treats. He plays passionately and loves the action all around. Hopper is a big dog in a tiny body. He needs a firm parent to help him know his boundaries. When he gets tired, he is the most cuddly of puppies and will snuggle in for a long nap. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his puppy shots and rabies vaccine. We can't imagine that he will get very big, but not sure of his breed...can incredibly adorable be a breed? If you are interested, apply at www.forrescue.net/Dog-application. He is fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hopper, a Carlisle Chihuahua/Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Shih Tzu for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Chihuahua/Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Chihuahua/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
