Dash's Story...
Dash is a 7 week old Basset Hound mix looking for a family that can spend a lot of time with her teaching her all the things that puppies should learn- manners, potty training, social skills, and leash walking! She is a lively girl looking for fun!

Dash has been microchipped, had her first vaccinations, been dewormed and vetted. Her new family must be able to provide continuing vet care to finish out her puppy vaccinations. A spay/neuter contract will be signed at time of adoption.

If you are interested in meeting Dash, please fill out an adoption application located on our website at www.heartsforhoundsrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dash, a Virginia Beach Basset Hound/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
