BIRDIE (video)'s Story...
Hey folks, I'm Birdie! I'm a 5 year old spayed female Chihuahua mix. I'm super happy, energetic, and very friendly. I also happen to be downright adorable! You'll rarely see me without a big grin on my face. What can I say? I have a zest for life!

Since I was brought to the shelter as a stray, not much is known about my past. All I know is that I spent a little over a week in that scary place before CageFree rescued me and brought me to their facility. Now they've made it their mission to find me the perfect forever home. Are you the one for me?

Weighing in at a petite 9 pounds, I'm the perfect compact size for traveling and apartment living. I don't need a lot of exercise; just a couple of walks per day and some playtime would suffice. The playtime is a must, as I'm a gal that likes to have fun! So what are you waiting for? If it sounds like I'd be a good fit for your family, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree and arrange a visit!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BIRDIE (video), a Los Angeles Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
