Whitey's Story...
Whitey is a 2-3 year-old, 20 pound, fully vetted Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix who was found after being abandoned in a neighborhood. He had no collar or microchip so we know very little about him. At first he may seem a bit timid, but once he gets to know you, he enjoys being held & cuddled. He also loves to play outdoors. Whitey is currently being fostered with three other dogs, one being Andy, a Beagle mix and a DRDR pup looking for his forever home and two big dogs which weigh in at over 85 pounds. All four play & eat together. Whitey has shown no aggression towards dogs, children or adults. When hanging out in his crate, he is chill as chill can be. He is doing great with his leash walking and at this time, we are unsure if he is house broken. If Whitey has stolen your heart like he has ours, please submit your adoption application on our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whitey, a Gillsville Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Gillsville, or seeking a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Gillsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gillsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gillsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gillsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
