Sugar Plum's Story...
Sugar Plum's Story...
Kelso is a big, 80 pound, smart and goofy guy. His BFF, Sugar Plum, is about his size and acts like he hung the moon. Of course they are a bonded pair even though Kelso only admits it in private. Kelso is 3 to 4 years old and is full of life and energy. Sugar Plum is 4 to 5 years old and is a lovable bear who prefers life at a bit slower pace than Kelso. They are both heartworm negative and healthy. Their foster parents have Sugar on a diet and are checking her teeth.
Kelso is working on his people manners as he gets pretty excited to see people he loves. His 6 and 9 year old skin kids understand he’s a bit excited and clumsy and they play all the time, but even though Kelso tries hard, he probably shouldn’t live with younger kids. Sugar Plum adores the boys but is a bit more gentle and ready to snuggle and nap at the drop of a hat.
Both are house, crate and leash trained although they walk at considerably different speeds, as you’d imagine. They are trustworthy in the house and do fine with other dogs. We’re not sure about how they relate to cats. Their foster parents say these two are absolutely delightful and a treat to have around. They are kind of big but so sweet and loving and funny. They adore their family and love being a part of everything.
Our mission: To balance the health, safety, and welfare needs of canines in the Central Texas area by providing nourishment and a safe environment for unwanted, stray, abused, and impounded Boxers. Once placed in new homes they become more than just pets, they become family.
